Which CPU for Sony Vegas

Hi,

I want to know which cpu will be faster for 1080P encoding in Sony Vegas in these 4 CPU:

I5 4690k, I7 4790K, Fx-8320, Fx-6300

if you're going for a low cost system, the fx 8320. Otherwise go for the i7. Consider a xeon v3 1231 as an alternative to the i7. if you're not planning on overclocking at least.

If I were you I would go with the fx-8350, just for the low cost. The i7 4790k will be more powerful, but not worth it for the extra £100.

Oh yeah i forgot to say i play video games too... Like GTA V, Minecraft(+server/filming), Arma 3, AC: IV, Gmod(+server), The Forest, Supreme Commander, World of Tanks, and more games...

Oh and i forgot to say i already have a 4690K but its like 25 mins to convert a video for youtube... and its only 4-5 GB in 1080P 30FPs i don't imagine like 20-40 mins on minecraft on 1080P

Most of those games are terrible if you have a amd cpu. Just go with a xeon or i7. Xeon is more or less an i7 without the igpu. Chances are if you're playing thes games you have a dedicated anyways.

Yeah but for Gmod/Minecraft i host it my self... i would like to know if I7 worth it? Thanks for help

Personally the k series is the only one worth if you plan to actually overclock it. I personally host my servers when i play with some friends and I run a fx 8350. I also have run used obs and xsplit on this cpu before and it handles well. The i7 should do everything better than what the fx 8350 can. If you don't plan to OC it, i suggest just going with a xeon.

You already have an i5 4690k. definitely faster than 8350, even while editing/rendering. No recommended to get an i7, for that 10% (or whatever it is) boost in performance while editing.

Can you give us some details regarding your Sony Vegas export settings? And also, before you start to edit. Don't ever edit .AVI, or .MP4, etc. Always transcode your clips to an intermediate codec such as DNxHD, ProRes for Mac. Smaller files, easier to edit with, no quality loss.

Well i film my video with Action in 1080P then i put it in Sony Vegas do what i need to do with the video then export it on Youtube i think its Avi File...



So what should i do to have a faster encoding?
