Hello Guys,

I'm planning to build a mini-itx 24/7 data server in my small office.
My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-H170N-Wifi, wich CPU good for 24/7, stabled and can manage around 10 user to access and transfering files at the same time?

CPU list:
i3-6100
i5-6400
i7-6700

So going for a server, most people will recommend that you go with a C series mob chipset and A Xeon CPU. The reason being that these are products marketed for servers and workstations that see heavy, longterm use. That being said, for a lot of small businesses and individuals, that extra longevity and reliability is not a major concern. They can live with a little occasional downtime and don't plan to keep their hardware running for the next decade.

For a basic fileserver designed to serve files to a small group of people, an i3 should be enough. You can expect to see half gigabit(ish) file transfers for one to two connected users and 100megabit(ish) transfers for 5-10 users. This is of course provided that you have your software and...
