Which CPU/GPU better suits my needs?

My current laptop, the gpu is pretty much fried, so I'm looking at building a desktop.
The only games I really play are WoW.

CPU
i5 6500 3.2 ghz $254.99 or i3-6100 3.7ghz $147.99 ?

GPU
Im looking in the $225-275CAD price range and Im curious about the r9 380 4gb, they are approx $249.99. Compared to the rx 480 which is about $320 or any other card how how decent is it? Or is there a better card in this price range?
Also is the i5 more than enough, or will the i3 be plenty?

It's hard to pick without knowing your total budget and the rest of the parts. If getting the i3 allows you to get a better video card, that's the obvious choice IMO.

i3 + 480 is a lot better than an i5 + 380

For WoW, you would be better off looking at a GTX 1060, or even a GTX 970, preferably with the i5.
