hello,

I am going to buy a new computer and I am in a dilemma between two CPU:
  1. AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT AM4 Box (267$)
  2. Intel Core i5 10400F / 1200 Tray (206$) - with CPU cooler it costs more money
my main use is for mid-range gaming and my memory card is Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16.
which one give me better performance ?

Solution
I am not going to overclock so its ok for me. thanks.
I have I5 10400F + Asus Prime H410M-E with Hyper 212 Turbo + 8GB 2666Mhz RAM, Trust me.. this CPU wreaks Ryzen 5 2600 (without overclock) and during gaming it never hit more than 70%... And Asus Prime Board is best in Budget for that Processor too.. as my VRM temps do not hit more than 67-70°C at Full load (stress tested for 45 mins)

I am happy with my I5 10400F..

The 10400f comes with a cooler that is more than enough.Only the K CPUs have no cooler.
On newegg it's listed at $170 for the boxed version that includes a cooler while the 3600xt is listed at $330, where are you buying from?
If you see any difference or not will depend more on the GPU that you will use than it will do on the CPUs.

I can take 10400f with cooler. I was thought that intel cooler are not in good quality.
I buying it from my country ( Israel ) and the price of 3600xt is after discount ( black Friday) . the GPU that I am going to use is: GTX 1660 Super.

The 10400 will outperform all 3 of those on most games, TPU showing it 4.8% faster than the 3600XT at 1080P if you have a 2080 Ti or better (roughly eqivalent to a 3070).

A 1660 Super won't go CPU limited very much on any of them though - however if / when you upgrade you'll want the extra performance.

I am aslo buying I5 10400F and upgrading my Secondary PC with this.. because Ryzen 5 3600 isn't available at good prices.. (in my country India) so I choose i5 10400F and yes I have Hyper 212 turbo.. so I gonna use that with i5..

I also recommend you to use Cooler like Hyper 212 or Deepcool Gammax A400 for i5 10400F those are really silent cheap and good coolers..

for my requirements , I don't need more than 1660S and 2080 TI is too expensive for me , but good to know that. in the future I will definitely upgrade my CPU .

Yes, same in my country. Ryzen 5 3600 is more expensive and isn't worth the money. 10400F is cheaper and with similar performances. ( and good reviews ) .
coolerMaster Hyper 212 is the exactly what I want. thanks.
