So i was looking for a perfect cpu for gaming and streaming and i think that the best cpu for my budget is the ryzen 5 2600, but after i watch a benchmark video of the ryzen 5 2600 vs i3 10100f, it seems that the i3 is ~10 fps more than the ryzen 5 2600.
The ryzen 5 2600 in my country cost $110 while the i3 only cost $100
So the i3 is cheaper and more powerfull than the ryzen 5 2600. But the thing is is that the r5 2600 has 6 cores and the i3 only has 4 cores.
So which one is better for streaming and gaming at the same time?

Hello there!!
Id suggest the Ryzen 5, 6 cores will really help you for streaming, gaming and multitasking what GPU are you planning to use? Also why not go for a 10400F if you can, get that rather than Ryzen 5 2600 or i3 10100.

Bottomline is I3 might have better single core performance but as the games get core hungry, core or threads become more important, so you have a options like 3600 6core 12 threads, or the costlier 5600x, as general said Intel chips tends to have more single core performance, so you have i5 to choose to 10th gen 11th gen, so bottomline is the I3 and ryzen 3 will take you only so much

The gpu im going to upgrade is intel arc gpus.
The main reason why i didnt go for the i5 10400 is bcuz it cost $160 in my country, not in my budget range.

Ok I can understand but have you factored the Mobo price as well? The combine price of Mobo and cpu might close the price gap it might help you to come up with a better decision. Also if you consider buying 2600 for $110 you have already paid about 70% of the price of 10400F so if possible to extend it could be worth. But if I had to choose between the cpu you have nominated I'll suggest Ryzen 5 those extra cores and threads will give you better frame times and better 1% thus a smoother gaming and streaming.
