Question which cpu is better for gaming?

Hello everyone

im looking at 2 laptops with mostly the same specs
asus strix scar ii with i7 8750h
asus strix scar iii with i7 9750h

both have rtx 2070 (the specific one im looking at not all versions)

as far as i know the scar ii has better cooling
but the scar iii has a better cpu but also costs 60 000huf (200$) more

which one do you think is the better buy?
(for raw gaming performance but considering the price difference)

I would personally get the 8750h because the performance gain is too small (about 6%) to justify the increase in price with the newer model.

The 8750h should be able to handle high graphics settings easily. Newer does not always mean better.

6% translates like this, assuming the gpu is not as used as the cpu in a specific game :
In a game you can get 100 fps, you'd get 105-107.
In a game you can get 60 fps, you'd get 63-64 fps.

If the gpu is being used more than the cpu, then the cpu will never reach max usage and getting a better one will have little to no effect.
