Which CPU is better?

I am making a new PC for use as a workstation. It will be primarily used for point of sell functions (running software for retail transactions). I don't need it to be blazing fast just something that works well. I have narrowed it down to 2 choices, both of which cost the same amount.
#1 is a Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU D525 @ 1.80GHz, 1800 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

and #2 is Intel Pentium Processor G3240 (3M Cache, 3.10 GHz) BX80646G3240 with only 2 cores and 2 logical processors. Stat sheets are below. Any suggestions?

#2 wins by a mile.
fewer cores, but better cores and almost double the clock speed.

#1 seems to be an arm (mobile) competitor. limited to 4GB RAM.
