Which CPU+MB combo is the best and worth the money?

i7 4790k + Asus Maximus VII Hero = $559.99
i7 4790k + Gigabyte Gaming 5 = $459.99
i5 4690k + Asus Maximus VII Hero = $451.99
i5 4690k + MSI Gaming 5 = $379.99

Which one is worth the money and is not an overkill for regular gaming and some recording?
I will also want to overclock the CPU.
I had only AMD before so I want to try Intel for the first time.

actually really like this board: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z87pro had zero issues with it, came with wifi, decent overclocking, and a bunch of other bells and whistles... costs less than the hero

recording, the i7 will do slightly better but not too much I think

I would go with an i5 + Z97 of some kind unless you have cash lying around waiting to be used (so what is your budget?)

Also for gaming and recording at the same time, will the i7 do significantly better than the i5?

if you're worried about z97 for future upgrading, why not go with the i5 now, get an i7 later, and get a higher end board now with they money saved?

the i7 will be better able to maintain fps for a longer period than i5

say if games start using 4 cores, the i5 would run out of cores to record with while the i7 still has the HT cores (which give about 10-20% performance of a real core)

Nvidia Shadowplay and AMD Game DVR are both relatively low resource recording options though
