Hello, I am upgrading my computer and came to a problem.
Current Specs:
MB: GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P
CPU: AMD FX-6300
Upgrading to:
CPU: Intel i5-4690k
I realized that if I upgrade to the Intel CPU then I would also have to get a new, Intel, motherboard, which would cost a lot more. So I want to know if I could keep this motherboard and just buy a new AMD CPU which is equivalent to the i5-4690k, at least for gaming? Out of all the looking I've done I have found some AMD CPU's that are better than the Intel one for rendering, but what I'm looking for is gaming, and as far as I've seen the i5-4690k is better than every single AMD CPU for gaming. But any answer will be much appreciated! Thanks!
