Am looking to buy a desktop pc, with windows operating system and am looking for suggestions.

This is for use for a fashion designer. Softwares will be used are photoshop, illustrator, coreldraw mainly, and other CAD fashion design related softwares.

Am probably looking at processor from Intel on i3 or i5 latest build with 6th generation (not sure which one to go for) with 3 Ghz and above, a compatible motherboard (were in the Graphic card can be upgraded and/or RAM can be upgraded to higher speed anytime) with 4-8 GB RAM, a graphic card probably (not sure which suits better), with 1 TB Hard disk, and a DVD ROM with a decent spacious cabin, but not congested.

Budget still not decided, as i will also be buying monitor, keyboard, mouse and a UPS, it's a whole new system.

Please do suggest, appreciate it.

A start. I suggest an IPS monitor for the color reproduction. I didn't find many that were reasonably priced that I liked. I'll leave the keyboard and mouse up to you.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($198.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($73.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Team Dark 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: PNY CS1311 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($49.99 @ Best Buy)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.55 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Gigabyte...
An off the shelf computer or a list of parts?

Since it is for a designer, do they have any desires when it comes to appearance?

A competent mid-range build with a discrete GPU and all the peripherals is going to be around $1000 to start. 16GB of ram for photoshopping.

List of parts would be helpful :) ..... Appearance doesn't matter though.
