Which CPU should i get for gaming? Or should i wait?

I have 2 980 Ti's in SLI and currently i have a i5 3570k @ 4.3 Ghz. I wanna upgrade my cpu but should I wait? Since I heard new Intel CPU's are coming out soon. If not which CPU should i get?

Rumour has it that the new Intel CPU's will only save more power while offering a minimal performance gain. You could wait. It is a distinct possibility that the price of the old-gen's will drop a little bit.

The 3570k is still a good cpu. Haswell and the new Broadwell aren't going to offer enough performance increase to justify the cost. I'd wait for Skylake.

You have an excellent CPU for gaming right now (based on what I've read at least). If you wanted an improvement, there's not much raise on clock speed, but more cores (especially a hyperthreading i7) would give you an improvement. I currently use an i7-4790k, and if you're patient you can get it about ~$295 on ebay (great value). Certain leaks show that Intel's Skylake processors probably will have better performance, but probably not better value (they'll be pretty pricey on release).

Yup wait for Skylake, I had an i7 3770K and still use an i5 3550, the jump to Haswell and Broadwell aren't enough of an upgrade but Skylake should be since it also will use DDR4 memory.
