Which CPU to get.

I currently have an i5-4460 cpu and a Gigabyte - GA-H97-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. I have been thinking about upgrading my CPU recently, and am looking at the i7-4790K, but I dont know if I should upgrade my mobo as well and get a cpu that fits a LGA 1151 (Assuming I would but a new mobo with a 1151 socket). Should I just get a new CPU, or should I upgrade my mobo first and get a new CPU after? Thanks for any help

For what reason do you want to upgrade?
While a 4790k would offer more threads, there generally woudnt be many reasons to get it this day and age.
A new processor (worth buying) would require a new MB and RAM.
