Hello... I am not impressed with either machines... What is your Main Programs you Run and uses?
The Graphic options will be slightly better with the i3 HD4400.
Battery life will be better with the Pentium N3530.
My uses will be for my school research that would have me to have 9+ tabs in chrome with multiple videos in some tabs and some light gaming like minecraft, prison architect, don't starve, minecraft, and games like that. I need this small of a laptop for school purposes and the tablet mode is an added bonus
Hello... I would suggest a 8gb total upgrade of Memory for your multi tab and chrome use... if you need more battery time... the Pentium N3530 uses half the power... And the extra $$$ would pay for the memory upgrade.
Yeah I was thinking of getting an ssd or ram upgrade to make it faster. But would the i3 help in light gaming and would it be worth it for the amount of performance it gives?
Hello... The i3 HD4400 I have experience with... it Does a wonderful Job of 1080P Streaming... Your Graphic Gaming Performance/Setting will very alot between Game titles... The Display is only 1366 x 768 on either... But you will be able to plug into your TV and run dual monitors for Webbing and School work on the screens... With both.
I'd go for the Intel Pentium, it has a quad-core processor and has a higher clock speed for graphics. It consumes less power than the I3 and performs exactly like it. You can do light gaming on this processor, like Ironsounds said - you can save a lot of money buying the Intel Pentium and the extra money can go towards more ram.
