^ With all respect... why you buy a i7 that support tri-channel, to run memory in dual channel?. If you want a dual channel, buy an AMD X4 965 and save money.
Maybe the most popular is 2x2GB, but this configuration is popular when DDR2 and dual-channel was in the firts place, now DDR3 and tri-channel is the way to move. If you want, buy the DDR3 in dual-channel, but personally, I don't do it this.
