Which DDR4 is better for my rig?

R7 1700 OC'd to 3.9 @ 1.35V
Asus ROG Crosshair Hero x370

*Supports DDR4 3200 and up when OC'd

Here comes the question, which makes more sense (they cost the same):

G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3400
16 CAS Latency
1.35 V

VS

G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200
14 CAS Latency
1.35 V

difference between 3400 n 3200 r not noticeable much. get the lower latency sticks.
but then again if the trident z has much better custom timing possible @ 3200 in bios, that's a different story.
trident z is a range above ripjaws. so if u know to work with custom timings in bios, trident is worth the shot. if u dont, buy ripjaws n call it a day.

3400/16 and 3200/14 both use the Samsung B-die ICs ( the only modules that run over DDR4 300 on Ryzen, so far ). There is a member who has an Asus board based Ryzen system with the latest beta BIOS and his 3400/16 runs at 3200/14 on that system. It's possible with later BIOS updates it will run at full speed. As is you want the best RAM you can get. Asus themselves say you need RAM capable of DDR4 4266 on a Z270 board to run at 3600 on Ryzen.

I'd get the 3400/16 and hope for the best.
