if they are of the same price? i'd go with the i7 build. - and change that powersupply to a branded one with good quality example - evga, thermaltake, corsair or xfx.

The second one is much better, but you would get a faster cheaper computer almost for sure by building it yourself. If you lack the time to do so, then just get the 2nd one is best.

They are pretty much the same. The intel just 10 dollars more lol! The brand of a power supply matters?

The brand of PSU matters a lot, there is a big difference between good and bad quality ones

if you want your components to last, better make sure that you get a good quality PSU - i doubt that those 600 watts standard psu on pre built systems are just generic type that will break your system in a year or 2.
