[SOLVED] Which display for this annoying mix of requirements?

I want to get a new dual display setup for a budget of about £700/$900. They'll be used for:

• mostly web design/graphic design and some video editing/3d rendering
• a fair amount of gaming

My ideal list of requirements would be:

• 27" 1440p x 2
• IPS (for the design stuff)
• High refresh rate (100hz+ for the gaming stuff)
• Don't really care if they're curved or not

The GPU I have is: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 xt pulse (so both will be displayport)

The conundrum here is that TN is useless for the design stuff, while IPS is probably far too expensive if I also want high refresh rates. VA might be the compromise. Any thoughts on how these are for doing design work?

I'm upgrading from a couple of really crappy old 21" 1080p monitors that don't match and only cost about £130 each so I can't be too fussy!

You'd have to check into specific reviews to ensure colour accuracy is where you want.... but either of these options (x2) comes in around, or under budget.

VA would be a nice compromise, and give you more options - but I would think IPS sounds like something you should be looking at if possible.

However, give where you're coming from, perhaps VA would still 'feel' good enough.
IIRC, this Samsung offering, which happens to be the cheapest, actually reviewed with pretty good colour reproduction.

Really good suggestion! These might be ideal looking at the specs. I can go in-store to see how it looks and try one out.

Wondering if anyone else has any alternatives that may be particularly good on the colour accuracy side of things but also for gaming?
