Hi guys,

I am about to put together my second build, 10 years after the first one and I have a question on storage.

So far i've been using a 500gb 850 evo for windows, a 2tb 970 evo plus (gen3) and a 2tb hdd for games.

I intend to keep the hdd for movies and photos but I bought another 2tb nvme (990 evo plus - gen 4) and was wondering what to do with the 850 evo. I initialy wanted to put w11 on it and keep 2*2tb nvme for games but I am now second guessing it. Should I instead disregard the 850 and partition one of the nvmes (0.5tb + 1.5tb) for w11?

I am also contemplating returning the 990 for a 4tb one. Would it be better given current game storage requirements?

Thanks !

I would install the OS onto the 500GB drive, alongside launchers and app's. You can use the larger SSD as your game library. The HDD is perfect for long term storage of data.
