So I have a c drive in my pc with 130 gb left out of 1000 I just bought an external hard drive with 1000 gb I was wondering what would be the best option. Should I fill my c drive up to full or almost full or should I transfer everything to the external? Or does it even matter? I’m just looking for best performance and loading times. Oh and one more thing I transferred bf1 to the external but it didn’t take it out of c drive so it’s using space on both drives thanks.

I would move a significant amount of storage data off the internal drive and then defrag it if you have not done so in a while. Of course, anything on an internal drive will load faster than a USB drive.

Also, be careful and use the Windows remove hardware safely when you disconnect it and if you have a random BSOD or shutdown just hope that the external drive is not writing at the time or it's contents may be corrupted and you may not see any of the data again, or at least all of it and not without a lot of effort.

Always backup important data -- always. (and one external drive is very weak backup).
