Which G.SKILL RAM to get for my gaming build?

with my gaming desktop build. I noticed the latter has no heat spreaders - what do these do exactly, and does that matter?

Any 1.5V RAM is fine, both are good so get the cheaper.

They look like the same RAM model but just different colors although the timing is lower for the more expensive one. Both seem to have heat spreaders when I looked so either is fine.
