which gaming pc should i go for, not looking for top notch, just an entry level type gaming pc

HP is better, however I would look at building your own pc if you can. It's not that hard, many build guides on YT. You would save a small bit of money and the PC will be easier to upgrade in the future.
The mobo on my prebuilt that I bought years ago caused so many issues.
