Ok so on qvc I'm stuck. One is a Alienware it has a 4k screen, but it has a nvidia 970m graphics card with 4k screen. I want this one mainly cause it has a 4k screen. I never had anything with a 4k screen so I would like this one. Then we have a Asus rog pc. One has 32 gb ram,n one has 16 gb ram. Its a great laptop.... Well it looks great. It has a 1080 p and kinda high. Lastly we have another Alienware. This one has same specs as,first except it has a 1080p screen with a nvidia 980 graphics card and 4gb of ddr5 and has a great speaker and subwoofer in it.. I mainly wonder, will those other two powerful pc's still give a graphic experience like the one with 4k. I want the one that will give the absolute best graphics, and able to play on ultra any game.,nothing less. Will the 4k look, better than 1080p on ultra.? Please help me. Which is,my best cchoice for my preference.

I have also seen many things, but you fail to substantiate your arguments. On a 17 inch screen 1920x1080 ultra will look better than 4k medium or medium-low. Even my GTX 650Ti can push Battlefield on 4k at everything set to lowest, but that is not the point here.

The end point being - the 970m will not deliver playable frame rates at 4K at ultra or even high.

You are right. You are saying tthat . Yes it can play 4k, but it doesn't meet my requirements of being able to play on,ultra. So I'll got with 1080p and play ultra there. It sucks I can't get 4k now and it plays ultra and smooth,,but, hey you can't have it,all. Also, why do you pick the Asus rog over the Alienware 1080p,version. Is it the ram difference.?

I was playing with a MSI GS60 w/ a 3K screen and it was only vaguely usable at native resolution with a 970M. And downscaling to 1080P did not look very good.

It would have looked better and been a more pleasurable gaming experience with a native 1080P screen.

At this time, 4K on a 15-17" screen is a gimmick, not a viable solution for gaming.

It would have been superb if I was working on documents or looking at multiple websites at the same time.

The ROG laptops have better reviews and positive feedback on the Internet. Also, I have a colleague with a ROG laptop and it is behaving pretty well. It is silent, for the most part and it feels more durable. Also Asus does motherboard, graphics cards, monitors and they used to make CPU coolers and uses its knowledge to put together its laptops, which works out pretty well. Asus also has the lowest laptop failure rate in the world. Asus laptops fail less than Apple.

I respect Dell (Alienware is owned by Dell and it consists a lot of Gigabyte hardware as far as I know and the last time I dissembled an Alienware laptop) and their workstations and enterprise laptops are awesome, but their "gaming"/consumer stuff is rather lackluster.

Oh so. See my qquestion is though. Which will have the better gaming experience I'm a,huge Asus fan. Since my first cheap gaming pc was asus and it was awesome, but I never used Alienware so Idk. Like I,said which has the better gaming, experience. Graphics, Smoothness, Ultra Display, Also Bitcoin mining lol.

wow. I haven't mined in a while, but forget I'm a gamer lol. Also one more question. That asus rog with 2gb is 100 bucks over what I wanted to,pay. There's the same, one with 16 gb ram and NVIDIA GeForce GTX970M graphics with 4GB GDDR5 graphics memory. Is that a huge downgrade. SShould I just dish out the extra 100 . Or if I'm going with 16 gb ram should I choosewww.qvc.com/Dell-Alienware-17-Laptop-Core-i7,-16GB,-128GBSSD,-Win-7-2-Yr.product.E281945.html?sc=E281945-Tailored&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-34-_-E281945&catentryImage=http://images.qvc.com/is/image/e/45/e281945.001?$uslarge$ that one since it has a better graphics chip
