Hi! I have been holding off on my storage upgrade for some time now but SSD prices will shoot up this year so I might cop one or two. I will replace my old main drive Kingston A2000 250GB with a 1TB Gen 4 SSD and my old game drive Seagate Barracuda 2TB with a 2TB Gen 3 SSD. I might get a Gen 4 SSD for my game drive despite my mobo only supporting Gen 3 on the second slot due to the negligible price difference.
My choices for the main drive replacement are:
1. Crucial T500 1TB for $74
2. Corsair MP600 PRO LPX 1TB for $70
3. Adata Legend 960 Max 1TB for $80
4. Lexar NM800 Pro 1TB for $73
I am leaning on the crucial drive for this one but I have head that the speed significantly drops down after 700GB of transfer. However, that would not affect me.
For the game drive, my choices are:
1. Crucial T500 2TB w/o heatsink for $108
2. Lexar NM620 2TB for $97
3, Adata SX8200 Pro for $94
Which ones should I get from these? I am open to recommendations if there are better options I missed. Thanks.
