Question Which GEN as my Boot drive vs my Game storage?

Buying a Gen5 drive for a new X870e Build on MSI Carbon Wifi,
I already have a 2tb Samsung 980 Pro Gen4. Which should I make the
boot and which one for the games to be stored on? Thanks

You can't tell the difference in real world applications but I'd have a slower, smaller capacity drive as the OS/apps/launcher drive while the faster, larger capacity drive is the game library drive.

I don't think I would even spend the extra money for a gen5 drive for a gaming PC.

The larger drive for the games.

I agree, in real world you won't really see much difference, if any. Save your money and go gen 4.
