which good electronic equipment for measuring, testing and hardware diagnosis?

I only know the multimeter and those pci cards for hardware diagnosis, which it worth buying?
a good multimeter, Plates Hardware Test, battery tester, some different Multimeter, component tester, etc.

Depending on what you're testing, you may also want insulation resistance, a good oscilloscope, logic analyser, perhaps a DC clamp meter, and you might want a high-power dummy load.
