So my GPU went kaput.

I have the following:

CPU: i5-3450 @ 3.10Ghz
Motherboard: ASUS P8B75-M LE
RAM: 2x4GM DD3 3 1600mhz
PSU: Cooler Master GX Bronze 450W
Casing: Normal Mid Tower (18inches tall x 8 inches wide)

Also, I am running a dual screen setup and would like to be able to play the occasional game or two, if it can run call of duty that would be awesome!

Many thanks for your help!

Super, thank you! Should I consider RX 570 or 580? Eyeing the price point, stock at home with this work from home thing so figured will game a bit :)

Do i need to care about the the GDDR version vs what the mobo has DDR3? I think not, but just confirming.

Amd gpu's generally take more power than nvidia gpu's.
Note and keep this in mind => you're 450w psu probably can't give 450w anymore. (Maybe it can maybe not)
i5 3450 max power: 77w

https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/radeon-rx-580
Min PSU recommendation: 500 W
If you want this you need to repleace the psu with a 650w imo.

Min PSU recommendation: 450 W
This works but you'll push that psu to the limit...

Yea a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Super is the max with that psu. The i5-3450 with a 1650 super on 1080p and medium/low settings should give you a 70+ fps in games.

The cpu will bottleneck the gpu so is going to have a performance decrease around the -30.0%.

This works but you'll push that psu to the limit and probably because of that it will fail sooner or later. So repleace the psu with a 650w imo.

Min PSU recommendation: 350 W
This is perfect.

Don't look at gpu ddr version because the cpu will bottleneck it and ddr3 ram will not a problem.

Don't know the budget but maybe look into a new budget ryzen build ?

very helpful! thank you VM! will look into the ryzen builds, but figured since everything was working fine except the GPU, would be a waste to discard the current system.

thank you VM!
