Which GPU for my 2011 system.

Heya, 3 years ago I built a pc with help of you guys and it has held up incredibly well.

Could someone recommend me a GPU to give my system a much needed boost?
I have a strong bias towards Nividia as AMD has given me quite a few problems in the past with older systems and Nvidia has been a very smooth experience for me)

I am looking to spend £170-£250

current specs:
Z86x-UD3H-B3
i5-2500k (4cpus) oc @ 4.5ghz
geforce 560TI
8gb ram

Combined with getting my first SSD I was hoping this would keep me going for a while longer...

We will have to know you precise psu model to be sure you wont have any problems with any suggestions, since you have a stable oc' ed system i guess it will be good, but just to be sure.

If I'm not mistaken, you have about 300 to 400$ USD? I'd recommened grabbing a GTX 970 if you can find one. You should go for the MSI or ASUS versions. You should see quite a big upgrade coming from a GTX 560 Ti.

If you can't stretch a bit to a gtx 970, looks like radeon 290 is the way to go.

Only just noticed on the old sales invoice that my 560ti was only 130!

So it seems to be between the gtx 970 between radeon 290 depending on my budget. Thanks for your time all
