Hi guys, today I would like to ask your opinion.
So I have been waiting to buy a new gpu for a long time, and I'm probably gonna buy one this week or the next, thing is I honestly do not know which one. Now let me start by saying that whatever I'm going to buy, the highest resolution I'm gonna play on is 1440p, but even after buiyng it for some time I'll probably still play at 1080p.
Next, about which one I would like to buy, I was thinking about the asus Rog Strix 3070 Ti, the reasons why I kinda settled on this one are multiple:
  1. Right now where I'm from (Italy) prices aren't really going down, so when it comes to the price/performance ratio I think this is one of the best one I found.
  2. The store where I found this one is one of the few where I can buy it and pay in installments, also this store as 0% interest on installments.
  3. The only other store that let me pay in installments, jumps for most brands like ASUS, from a 3070 Ti to a 3080 Ti, and there is to big of a price difference, also I don't really need a 3080 Ti.
  4. Also in a benchmark i saw the 3070 Ti run Cyberpunk in 1440p with ultra settings at 60-70 frames(No Ray Tracing)
Another option is waiting a week or two, because the website that sells the Rog Strix 3070 Ti might get some Rog Strix 3080, which on that website has a 100/150 euros difference, but also better performances and 4 extra gb of vram
So what do u think. Should I buy the 3070 Ti, buy asomething else or wait?

If you need something now, then get it now. If you can wait then wait.

In the mean time, you might also want to consider a PSU upgrade depending on which one you currently have and how old it is.
For the PSU i'm good i have a corsair rm 850.
Also one thing that is keeping me from buying it, is that i'm kinda scared that i will buy and after a couple of years i would be forced to change it, cause games requirements will advance too quickly

For a high end card, the 6900xt is a great mix of price/performance. Goes toe to toe with the 3080 12gb, and has been cheaper, as well. 3080ti is a waste of sand. Only 3-5fps faster, on average, than a 3080 12gb.
I know that's why i was thinking of waiting to see if they would get some 3080, i'm not interested in a 3080 Ti

This is why I recommended the 6900xt, over a 3080. More vram, similar performance, and lately it has been quite a bit cheaper.

Looking at PCPP, though, it looks like the price difference isn't a factor, for you, though, as pricing is quite close.

You may want to consider a 6800xt, as well, vs the 3070ti.

Game requirements over the last decade have changed at a glacially slow pace, only to be updated because the hardware manufacturer stopped supporting it. The only thing that changed in the last few years was the addition of ray tracing, but the only game that absolutely requires it, as far as I know, is Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition.

At some point you're going to have to pull the trigger. Otherwise you may as well wait forever.

Unfortunately, i just did a quick check and on the only 2 website that let me buy in installments, none of them have a 6900xt, except for a asus one that has water cooling but it costs 1500 euros, so i think imma buy the 3070Ti.

Yeah, you are right, i've been due for an update for at least 4 years, when it comes to gpu

Your plan seems reasonable to me.
3070ti is a very strong card and entirely suitable for 1440P fast action games. 3000 series cards are being sold off in anticipation of new gen cards.
But such new cards will have early adopter prices and may well be in limited supply.
Your psu is fine.

If you wait for the next best thing, you will wait forever.

agree with this. Just buy already when it's needed. It's what I did and had no regrets.
