Hey guys, I have a gaming rig that I custom built online, I currently use a 680, but I'm trying to decide between one AMD Radeon HD 7990 or dual GTX 780s. Here's a few rig specs

Intel® Core™ i7-4770K 4.3 GHz 8MB Intel Smart Cache
2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD
16GB (8GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory
MOTHERBOARD: [CrossFireX/SLI] ASUS Sabertooth Z87 Intel Z87 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ TUF Thermal Armor, ASUS Remote GO!, USB Charger+, 7.1 HD Audio, Intel GbLAN, 3 PCIe x16 (2 Gen3, 1 Gen2) & 3 PCIe x1 (All Venom OC Certified) [+136]
POWERSUPPLY:1,000 Watts - LEPA G1000-MA 80 Plus Gold Certified Modular Power Supply

Solution
In your case I'd be inclined to go with the 780's in SLI - all multi-GPU configurations have micro-stuttering issues in games but AMD's seems to be more noticeable (reported to be driver related according to this article http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/catalyst-13.8-frame-pacing-crossfire,3595.html ) so if you're looking to game and you want the best experience available, IMO you're better off with the NVidia cards in SLI, at least at this point in time
