I am about to build a gaming rig and I don't know which gpu I should go with. My budget is $220. I play games like far cry 4, cod, bf4, fallout with mods, gta 5, cs:go, cod waw custom zombie maps, on 1080p medium/ultra. Power is not a big deal and I am looking to have this for about 2 years. Will a 2gb last me 2 years on 1080p or will I have to buy a 4gb card.

Thank you in advance

2GB is simply not cutting it these days, even on 1080p. I'd get a R9 380 4GB from MSI or Sapphire. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127878

The R9 280x is another option. It is older and much more power hungry, but a bit faster than the R9 380. If you're getting the R9 380, get the 4GB version. I'd avoid Nvidia's GTX 960 because it is overpriced and rather weak compared to other cards from AMD in this price range.
the extra Ram on the gpu is mainly for Textures. Higher Res Textures will require more ram. At your price point you are looking at a GTX 960 or a R9 280X. Both of these cards are good for 1080p gaming. They wont get you at ultra ultra ultra on Triple A games but well enough. GTA 5 Can use a ton of GPU ram I hear.

I have a gtx760. I play most games at High setings, not ultra. Im ok with that. Its all about what you think is good enough for you really lol. But Im ok with turning off things like motion blur, and other post processing fluf that doesnt neccessarily make te game look better to me.
