Hey guys (I am new to tech and to this website) so, my question is "which GPU should I get? I currently have zotac 1070 mini, i7-7700, and I am playing games like CS:GO, Raft, Watch dogs 2, (planning to play Need for Speed Heat) I have a 2k monitor (2560 X 1440) at 144Hz, and my current GPU can't do 144Hz in most games, even on the lowest spec.

I was thinking to get a 2080 super, but don't know which brand (reasoning: cheater than 2080, and faster than 2080)

Hopefully someone can help :)

Solution
Might be good to see what is the best FPS your cpu can give you. There are some games where 144fps minimum just isn’t possible. As a test try setting your resolution really low, maybe 720p, this will show you the best possible FPS your cpu can deliver regardless of gpu choice.

I tested this in WD2
(How I play) 2k at most low and a bit mid and high (VRAM: 2295/8088)
Average at 70fps with 100 CPU with GPU at 70% load

At 1024x768 (same settings) (1859/8088)

Average of 70 FPS with GPU at 40% load

When playing CSGO

at 2k with everything low, except AA at higheres

I get about 450 FPS with 60% CPU load and 80-100% GPU load

At 1280x960 (that's how I play) I get about 430 FPS with 59% CPU load and with 57% GPU load

if you're looking into a 2080 I do believe a 650W psu is minimum for one of these bad boys. So you will need more for case fans ect also. Not to mention Gold +
