Which GPU should I look at or should I wait

Hello.
I have a question to ask whoever reads this, I am wondering what I should do with regards to upgrading my GPU. Currently I have an AMD HD7950 card with an i5 3570k processor and I was wondering, due to the recent R series of cards coming out and price drops of older cards, whether it would be a good time to upgrade or if I should just wait.

The cards I am currently looking at are the R9 290X and 290, GTX 780/770 and the 7970. Is it a good idea to go for one of them now or wait a little longer until they release a new architecture.

no their is no reason your card is still find unless your running at least one 1440p monitor even then it should be fine
