Which GPU should I buy?
My rig set up :
Intel i3 - 6100 (6th gen)
4x2 ddr4 2133 ram
240 gb SSD
VS650 PSU
Monitor - 24" 1080 144hz w/ AMD freesync

My games are CS GO,PUBG,NBA2K19.
Im fine with Med to High settings

Gpu choices
•Asus RX 570 4gb Rog Strix (165 USD) brandnew
With store warranty 1 year

•GTX 1060 6gb (2ndhand) (180 USD) Since its used, mostly the 1st owner gives 1 week warranty.

Also are there any bottlenecks?
Thank you masters.

The 1060 6Gb is better . But paired with that cpu. There will be a bottleneck. If ur fine with meduim settings the rx 570 would be okay but expect bottlenecks in some games

I would say that considering you have an i3-6100, that would probably be your bottleneck and would be hesitant to say that you are going to get the full 144Hz from your monitor.

As for GPUs, my non professional opinion would be to get the GTX 1060, just because that's the only brand of graphics cards I consider. However, it is used, so not too sure. All I know is that my friend had a 1060 and was able to get 144 Hz for most games.

If I pick the rx 570 it means i cant get the 144hz for my monitor? My games are cs go, pubg, nba. And I do some video editing practicing just started

You can get the gpu right now its not a big problem . I think with the games you mentioned at meduim-high settings . You wont face so much problems but dont expect the best performance

Which gpu will bottleneck more on my I3 6100? The rx 570 4gb or the 1060 6gb?
Don't worry too much about the CPU being a bottleneck. You'll be bottlenecked by the GPU before you are by the CPU for the games you mentioned.

As for the max FPS you can get. It will all depend on the settings. You'll be able to fly past 100 FPS with a good settings combination per game.

Cheers!

Agree to disagree.

In pubg for example he would have to drop to low settings to reach that 100 fps. At cs go it is possible at good settings
And more importantly, that also proves the point that moving away from the i3 won't really change things that much for him in those particular games (CS-GO is not really well-threaded) unless he spends serious money for a Z-series platform with a K CPU.

I will stand by my comment he should not think too much about it and just get the 1060 6GB. He will see better FPS'es across the board anyway.

Cheers!

Either GPU would be a waste of money with the i3. That said, the RX 570 is less of a waste. It will also handle 1080p at full settings 60 fps in most games... and your monitor has FreeSync. You won't need to hit 144fps for smooth gaming.

Even with an i5 upgrade in your future the RX 570 is still a good idea, just for FreeSync. Plus there is that warranty with the RX 570... and going with the 1060 won't actually nab you that much more real world performance (15% or so. That won't make or break it on any current game)... and even though it does on the actual frame rates, that is negated by FreeSync as any advantage would be imperceptible.

I get what the people are saying about the 1060. It is a good card, but it isn't that much better than the 570.

So... my advice is to get the RX 570, turn on FreeSync, and run games with medium to high settings. You'll be happy with the performance. How do I know this? Because I run an RX 470 with an i5 in my desktop AND an i7 with a GTX 1060 in my gaming laptop. Utterly no difference between the two in actual game play if you turn off the frame rate counter.

Are you in the US? If so, neither of those options are very good at all. There are some crazy specials right now on RX570s in particular.

New RX 570 4GB for $120 after promo code: https://www.newegg.com/powercolor-r...on=rx 570&cm_re=rx_570-_-14-131-717-_-Product

New RX 580 8GB for $170 after promo code: https://www.newegg.com/sapphire-rad...on=rx 580&cm_re=rx_580-_-14-202-278-_-Product

They are new products with full warranties.

In another thread a few hours ago I guy said he could get a brand new RX 580 8GB at his local Microcentre for $147.

PubG definitely favours Nvidia cards, but generally speaking the RX 570 is roughly equivalent to a 3GB 1060, while the 580 competes with the 6GB 1060. For new cards right now, AMD is selling the 570 & 580s at stupid cheap prices if you look around a little. Even for PubG which is about as Nvidia favoured as it gets, I don't think the 1060 is good value as prices sit right now.

There is a guy here selling his GTX 1060 6gb for 160 USD he will give 1 month warranty. Its ASUS GTX 1060 6GB white edition.
If this guy doesn't run a business that warranty doesn't exist, if it's not in writing then it may as well be worthless. I'd go for the GTX 1060 since it's a 6GB card with a significant performance benefit, but if you want to play it safe get the RX 570 with the full manufacturer's warranty. The i3 6100 should be your next upgrade to at least an i5.
