my computer specification are

amd athlon 64*2

2.9ghz processor

3gb ram

normal psu

crt monitor max resoultion 1152*876


i have option of gt 520 and gt 440 i have normal smps it's written 500 watt but i actually don't know how much watt
i only have crt monitor so i will play games at max resolution of 1152*876 not above that so i think Gt 520 is better at this resolution

so at this resoultion which card is better gt 520 or gt 440

get gt 440 over gt 520 anyday.gt 440 is twice as faster than gt 520.and fine for your resolution

I would agree with the above it would be faster. Even though it is older tech it will still be faster with what you have and since your monitor is at a really low resolution you should get a good frame rate with it.

You should probably wait for a few days , there are great listings of new graphics cards , old generation but still powerful . I will give you the link when those listings are back again , he is out sold pretty quick .

For that range u can get a 8800gt , 9800gt , 9600gt , 4830 ... which were during their times king of the gaming industry , nowadays they will pretty run max settings on all games at 1400x900 or below resolution , the 440gt or 520 gt is nowhere to these cards , they are almost 8 - 10 x better than 440gt and 520 gt.
