Hello,
I actually have two questions...
My first is what GTX 970 brand is the best?
Asus Strix
EVGA
Gigabyte G1
MSI Gaming
And which one would be worth spending the money on.
My final question is, should I get this GPU or simply just wait for the new AMD cards coming out? I am trying to stay under $350 so would the new GPUs still apply to that Price point?
Thanks

I would say that MSI and Gigabyte are a close call for the best. I personally would go for the MSI card because it has Zero Frozr which turns the fans off for low load operation and it also doesn't have a blue WINDFORCE logo like the Gigabyte card has. Also, the MSI card is just a tad shorter than the Gigabyte card, but it is definitely wider. If however you don't mind the extra length and blue lighting and fan control, then the Gigabyte looks super sexy with that backplate. They will both overclock well if you want to do that, and if you have a black and (Blue/Red) build, they will both fit in nicely as the center of interest. I personally am getting the MSI card as my build is black and red, and I have done a lot of research and personally think that the MSI card is one of if not the best GPU currently out of all other brands. I am getting the 980 though, and since the MSI cards do not have backplates, (except for the 960) I will be buying and installing an aftermarket one.

EVGA seems to always make great GPUs. Asus too. Ohh and MSI. Which one to choose? I'd go EVGA ACX 2.0 Superclocked. You really can't go wrong with one of those.

If you wanna wait for new AMD GPUS, take a while yet, then that could help reduce the 970 price. As it is, the 970 is an excellent GPU and maxes out almost all games at 1080p.

Personally I will not go with Asus, had some bad experiences with them. Evga Superclock would be my choice, flowed by MSI. But before you buy search for the card model on google and check user reviews from sites like newegg and amazon to check is there is any kind of problem with that specific model.
