I am looking to get a new graphics card for my compaq sr5139uk on a small budget.
theres 4 particular graphics cards available in price range, but wondering which would be most effective for my system
computer specs are;
Core 2 Duo E6550
Operating speed: Up to 2.33 GHz
Number of cores: 2
Socket: 775
Bus speed: 1333 MHz

May upgrade to intel core 2 quad q660
Processor Base Frequency
2.40 GHz
Cache
8 MB L2
Bus Speed
1066 MHz FSB

2GB DDR2 ram
May also get additional 4gb DDR2
so total of 6gb

Currently have a nvidia geforce 8400gs

Finally the graphics cards im looking at are;
The MSI geforce gt 730 - £69
Memory: 4 GB GDDR3
CUDA cores: 96
Clock speed: 700 MHz
Memory bandwidth: 128-bit

The ASUS GeForce GT 730 - £50
Memory: 1 GB GDDR3
CUDA cores: 384
Clock speed: 900 MHz
Memory bandwidth: 64-bit

The ASUS GeForce GT 710 - £40
Memory: 2 GB GDDR3
CUDA cores: 192
Clock speed: 945 MHz
Memory bandwidth: 64-bit

Opinions on which will be the most efficient for my system, will any be bottle necked?
Other alternatives roughly same price?
will i need the cpu and ram upgrades for these to be efficient?
Am i going to be able to run games such as hitman absolution in max settings etc?
thanks

None of these will come close to running Hitman Absolution at max. It was a particularly poor PC port and even with a i7-3930k and a 7970/280x, it had trouble hitting 60 fps at very high. Any of these GPUs is pretty far down the list in the below image.

ive noticed a gtx 295 for the price of about £60, would my cpu limit the capability of the gtx 295? and if yes would the cpu upgrade mentioned be appropriate?

Better to get a 750ti, a 295 can max at around 300W on its own, while a 750ti without a connector doesn't require a PSU upgrade.

Just noticed that myself while comparing aswell as the 750ti having gddr5
What would be the recommended amount of computer RAM to go with the card, and any idea on rough pricing for a 750ti? would it be worth getting the 2gb version of the 750ti? thanks for your input been a great help
