[SOLVED] Which Graphics Card should I choose?

Hello everyone.

So I saved quite a bit of money to build a new PC next year around February (because everything is out of stock right now).

This is what I have chosen for my build.

Ryzen 9 5900x
ASUS TUF x570
32 GB GSkill Trident

Now, I just cannot figure out which Graphics Card I should choose. My options are RTX 3070/RTX 3080 or RX 6800 xt. I would choose the RTX 3090/RX 6900xt but considering such a little performance drop with the lower range cards, I decided not to choose it. Also, I will primarily use the computer for gaming and a bit of school work at times. And no, I am not going for video editing or stuff like that.

Thanks in advance!

3080 for 1440p 144 or 4k60. 3070 for non ultra 1440. I'd say 3080, it'll go...

3080 for 1440p 144 or 4k60. 3070 for non ultra 1440. I'd say 3080, it'll go better with the 5900X

I'd wait for a 20GB 3080 if I were you. If you have any interest in 4k resolution over the next few years. If you're sure you'll just be using 1440 then the extra ram probably won't be useful.

I wish we had the AMD answer to DLSS to look at now. DLSS 2.0 is pretty dang impressive so if I needed to purchase a card today I'd probably stick with Nvidia, even though I'm not impressed with 10GB ram.
