Which graphics card should i get?

I am building a Gaming PC for the first time and almost done choosing my components but just stuck between two graphics cards the AMD R9 290x and the GTX 780 over clocked with ACX cooler both are linked below. I'm looking to be able to play next gen games on max setting at about 60-80 FPS, both are similar prices so don't include pricing in this please. Thank you in advance.

I'd say GTX 780, from my not-so-humble opinion, it's the best out there.

Between those two specific cards I would recommend the EVGA GTX 780 Superclocked w/ ACX Cooler 3 GB if your display resolution is 1920x1080 or lower.

If your display resolution is higher than 1080p then get the PowerColor R9 290X OC 4 GB.

For value the 290x anhilates the gtx780 and the gtx titan except the watercooled arieas.

290x anyday as its cheaper and destructive.

But very power hungry with crazy amount of shadders.

Generally the 780s run less costwise and outperform the 290X, both OC well but I'd give the nod to the 780 (nVidia also much better on keeping the drivers up)

I know, it's very comprehensive site, ( sad they don't do quadro or fire pro comparisions, but its great for information)
