O.K., so I finally built my rig, and I really love the performance I am getting, but I really like to look ahead, and I plan to SLI... However, here's the problem, I bought a EVGA GTX 680 FTW LE 4GB Edition, and since buying, every retailer I can find that seems credible seems to have run out. I really wanted to SLI with the same exact card, but I might not be able to find one again. The question I would like answered is, if this card never comes back into stock, what card would be SLI capable with this card? I was confused because I remember hearing different things on whether they had to have the same clock speed and memory, or one or the other or neither... SO I'm really stumped on this one and I'm hoping one of you could point me in the direction of a good card, preferably an EVGA card, that could be SLI-ed with this one... Meanwhile I'll keep refreshing the Newegg page for it, hoping it will come back in stock... :( *sigh* , P.S. I really am not looking to buy from a member of the forums, so no advertisements please. As much as I love ya', I want new stuff!

Any other 680 4GB should be fine, but if you really want to, we could look for a model that has matching frequencies. A 2GB 680 should also be fine, but as said above, you're configuration would then act like 680 2GB SLI.

The thing is, if you SLI it with a 2GB card, you only will have 2GB of graphic memory available. It will also adjust to the lower clocked card. If you want to take advantage of the 4GBs of memory (almost useless, but that's another topic), you have to have another 4gb card.
