Some important details for AMD Radeon cards are the:
  • Amount of Stream Processors
  • Speed of Engine Clock
  • Amount of type of Video Memory
470 has less value in all 3 compared to the 580. You will see a difference, the 580 is comparable to the GTX 1070.
All true except for the last part. 580 is not comparable to GTX 1070, more closer to GTX 1060 6GB although the 580 is more powerful. Closest AMD card to GTX 1070 is the RX 590 yet still behind the 1070 by a not so small margin.

The difference that you will see from a 470 to a 580 is noticeable and depending the game might be 25-40% greater performance.

Thanks for the fast reply! I wasn't able to find the number of stream processors for my current card (RX 470) on the specs page. Do you know where I can find that number?
