which graphics would be better for my PC Nvidia GT 640 OR AMD R7 250

i have 450W power supply
i want to buy Nvidia/AMD 1GB graphics card for playing games only....
which one will be better Nvidia GT 640 or AMD R7 250
i'm afraid of GPU bottlenecking my CPU so could you help me out...Thanks in advance

The R7 250 has better specs and ratings the the GT 640, your CPU is old and will probably be the bottle neck for your system.

i read in R7 250 specifications minimum processor required is AMD athlon or intel dual core.....mine is AMD ATHLON II X2 270 3.4 GHZ....i have inbuilt AMD 3000HD graphics which can play games(i have played games like FIFA 13,batman arkham city,PES 2013) ....but if i'm sleepdogs the game is working slow.....i'm afraid of GPU bottlenecking my cpu.. i'm afraid if my PC starts working slow bacause of my GPU

GPU DOESN'T bottleneck a CPU, rather a CPU can bottleneck a GPU. A GPU WON'T make your computer slow, again, it;s the CPU (central processing unit) that can.

btw. What's you power supply and wattage?
