I am looking to buy a GTX 1080. My PC design is a white build. I prefer to buy the GALAX Hall of Fame 1080, but it is very hard to get it because of supply reasons. If I were to purchase a 1080 knowing it was going to be painted, which one would be the easiest to take apart so I can paint the shroud. Thank you.

all though fan shrouds are removable. you should look for which model will allow you to remove the shroud and wont break the warranty. i haven't kept up with the changes but evga used to allow users to waterblock their cards without breaking warranty. many times there is a tamper seal that will show that the shroud has been removed. otherwise any and all the shrouds are pretty easily removed if you are going to spray them. be careful with the fan blades though. paint in the bearing or bearing seal wont play nice with the efficiency of the fan.

Most AIB coolers are pieced together roughly the same way. The Strix cooler probably has the most parts that come off, making it the most "customizable". Aesthetically, I'd rather take one of the EVGA ACX coolers with its smoother linds and shapes, and paint it white with gold speckles with a satin finish. I'm considering doing exactly that to my current graphics card.
