I am planning to buy new budget graphic card and I am in certain dilema. Should I get GTX 1650 or rx 570?
I am well aware that rx 570 performs 15 % better than GTX 1650, but there are some sort of things that bother me. To be precise, temps and noise, also power consumption . In those terms GTX 1650 looks loike better option. Also GTX 1650 is newer model ( I do not now does it make difference).
I do not understand benchmarks that show 1650 consumtion at more than 200 watts and rx 570 at more than 300 ?! I understand that its meant to be while on full load, but nvidia and amd in their specs show only 75W and 120-150W respectively. As far as I know through motherboard its possible to get 75W, so GTX 1650 does not need power connector, but if in certain point of load it PC reaches even 120-150 Watts, how is it possible to provide such power through just PCiE slot? Or is that listed power consumption dedicated to those Gtx 1650s which have power connector (6 pin, some dual fan models)? Or is it meant total system power consumtion?
You guys who have those cards, whats your opinion on them? Which model you have? Which GTX 1650 and RX570 are best in term of temps?
one fan:
Gigabyte gtx 1650 mini iTX
Msi gtx 1650 aero mini
Asus gtx 1650 phoenix
two fans
Gigabyte gtx1650 windforce
msi gtx 1650 gaming X

Asus rx 570 expedition
Saphire rx 570 pulse
MSI rx 570 armor
Asus rx 570 strix

In my country RX 570 and GTX 1650 cost same or pretty much the same and thats pne reason more why I am considering gtx 1650.
The only really cheap Rx 570 is asus expedition. What about that model?

Wait for the RX 5500 to be released for desktops as it MAY be better than the 570 and the 1650, so I'd personally wait till holiday season maybe, Yes power consumption appears to be better as well but wait for professional reviews, That way if it is better you won't regret choosing one of them instead of waiting.

First of all, it depends on if your PSU has enough juice for the Rx 570. Those 200-300w were probably the total system power draw.

Not all GTX 1650 can be powered by only the motherboard. There are some that need a 6pin power cable (I think Asus needs one, correct me if I'm wrong).

Age doesnt really matter, unless it has newer technology (like GDDR5 and GDDR6 or PCIe gen. 3 and PCIe gen. 4).

Both the GTX 1650 and Rx 570 have GDDR5 memory, aswell as PCIe 3.

In your case, I would go with an Rx570 as it is a bit better. Yess it consumes a bit more power and can get a bit warmer than a gtx 1650.

I have the MSI variant of the rx 570 8gig. Its not the best one, because its quite loud under load. I would clearly get a Nitro Plus from Sapphire (One of the best cooling design for the RX line up)

Hope I helped you, and correct me if anything is wrong! :)

Thank you. But I am pretty sure Rx 5500 will be pricier than rx 570 and gtx 1650. My budget is about 200 dollars. I will probably wait for rx 5500 just to check will it fit in my budget.

Thank You very much. I am buying new PSU as well. My PSU now is some HMS 530 Watt with only 6 pin connector (no 8 pin). I think it is not good idea to use it even with gtx 1650 as it is 5 years old. Within my budget is Seasonic S12 II. Rx 570 msi with 8 gig or Nitro Saphire are on the expensive side :*(. Those listed above are within my reach. Saphire pulse is a bit hotter than others so I would probably avoid it?

Oke let the Sapphire one beside. I have heard it has a good cooler, but you have exactly the same opinion xD

If you really need a gpu right now, get the Asus Expedition one. I would wait for the rx 5500...

Asus normally has one of the most stable GPU's. They are expensive (especially in the high-end segment) but deliver excellent performence.
