Im getting new card this/next month and I saw that 660 is good for its price. But now I want to know if I should choose MSI or Gigabyte card. Gigabyte should be better but its more expensive too. Only difference is clock speed. MSIs speed is 1006MHz and Gigabytes got 1033MHz. How much theres differend in FPS in some modern games. If its less than 5 frames Ill get MSI. I will NOT overclock any components at home. My built will be i5-3570, 8Gb 1600MHz RAM, 600W PSU (that can handle 660).

The difference between the two will be minimal, and you can easily overclock, so I would go for the cheaper one.

Amd's competitor to the 660 is the 7870, and in most benchmarks it performs better, so you should also consider getting a 7870.

NO overclocking. I know its easy but I dont like taking risks.
7870 is 20€ more expensive and I already maxed my budget.
So with what card out of these two should I go?

Hello Tadej,

Can you post the links to the two 660s your looking at???

Also, I would recommend the 660 over the 7870. It really comes down to personal preference and games you want to play.

660 (not ti) vs 7870 Benchmark comparison.

Coffee~

In that case, go with the msi 660. Don't let other people spend your money.

I will post links but they are in slovenian languge. Just scroll down to see specs. I think its easy to understand numbers (1033MHz is clock speed). Thanks for your link, helps a lot.

I would like to have a cup of coffee~

Hello Tadej,

Based off the physical models of the two 660s, I recommend the Gigabyte version. The reason it costs more is because it has two physical fans, the MSI version only has one. Two fans means more effective cooling while being able to maintain a lower RPM(Rotation per minute) which translates to less noise during high loads. The Lower temperatures will also extend the life of the graphics card and drop the overall temperature in your case. Something to consider.

Coffee~

PS: Haha, I was drinking coffee while writing my first reply. I'd offer you a cup if you were here.

OK going with Gigabyte. Thanks.
I wish I would be there...
