Don't want to spend over $130 as this will be given to someone. They will use for normal use as well as gaming.
Sales end 12/31 so would appreciate any quick responses,
thanks

All the above GPU's you mentioned are all above $130. :/
All the GPU's above, are all from good manufacturers.. so it doesn't matter which one is best.
The EVGA SC one has a slightly bumped up base and boost clock.
So going with any one of them is fine.. even a model of the same GPU with a lower price tag is good.
For better cooling of the GPU, the Gigabyte one is good aswell.

Tough call. EVGA GTX 750Ti SC has more base clock here than others but gigabyte is a close follower. In terms of cooling, Gigabyte will offer more cooling than EVGA one. Go for Gigabyte one here. You can overclock this card to easily come at par or even beat the EVGA SC card.

The name is for the whole brain synapse transmission system. Sometimes talking to people you realize the gaps in their brain are far apart. More just to humor myself though.

The 660 is 10% to 20% faster, uses about twice as much power, and is a generation older than the GTX 750ti.

That is the reference card comparison. The 750 FTW has significant overclocking and will close some of the gap.

Debate is on here :)

Check the comparison between 660 and 750Ti here.

660 benefited from higher texel rates, pixel rates, more memory bandwidth but it consumes more power. It is also very imp to know that performance given in the benchmark may differ from another sample and if the other sample is factory overclocked then results would be bit different as well.

GTX 750Ti FTW would do you good here provided it is not up against GTX 660 SC/FTW. I've used EVGA GTX 660 SC and it was superb in performance.

Thanks guys, decided on the EVGA GTX 750Ti FTW at price after rebate. Came in under all the other cards for price. Didn't see the cost on this originally otherwise might have decided on this first although the GTX 660 had me intrigued

the only reason there is a synapse is to slow down a bit the impulses transmitting at 100m/s on mylinated neurons(apart fron transferring impulses aid)

bio student?

Good question. 750 was released competing against 650Ti. 750Ti was next release in the series. 11% (approx) performance difference is between both. But 750Ti is keeping up the pace with 660 due to architectural improvements plus it is more power efficient. If some one has 660 then there is no point to change it with 750Ti or so but if new card is to be bought then overclocked version of 750Ti would be a better choice if the price tag is effective.

at release 200$ maybe , but surely there will be pricedrops( thanks , i did not know the price)

the performance is expected to be around the level of the 770 if i am not mistaken
