Which hard disk is better WD BLUE,OR WD GREEN AND WHY

Hi guys
i want to buy new hdd
i read lots of review
and i desided to buy WD BLUE WD10EZEX

Local dealer said me WD GREEN WD10EZRX is heaviar and better then BLUE
is this right.

I orderd a WD BLUE from snapdeal.com WD10EZEX

Please suggest me which one is perfect and better drive for my desktop and why

Green drives are the more "eco-friendly" drives, slower, less, power, less heat. Typically used as backups or such.

Blue drives are pretty much just a regular standard drive

Other WD colors are:

Black are higher performance and quality, they are faster and have longer warranties

Red are for raid and servers

Purple is the newest and is intended for security systems

Between green and blue I would go blue.

It's hard to say without exact models to compare but just stick with the one you ordered blue is perfectly fine

The GREEN version is the slowest HDD in WD's line-up, but also it takes less energy to work and it will be cooler as temperature goes and it will be quieter. For a boot drive (the primary drive on your computer), the WD BLUE is the better choice.
