Which Hardware impacts gaming performance ???

Hey there, I'd like to know which hardware impacts gaming performance ....

-CPU
-GPU
-RAM (If you have less than 6-8 GB)

And temps in general, so if you will even ...

-CPU Cooler
-Case fans

Am I right or not .... ????

All three do but there balanced depends on which games. Ideally for games the CPU cost half the GPU. IE a $250 CPU means a $500 1080. For most games I would suggest 16GB's or RAM but most games will work with 8GB's. Some games tho will show large drops in performance with only 8GB's sacrificing smoothness.

Correct, mostly.
All of those are critical to gaming performance (RAM not so much) but since these are classified as "Important" doesn't make anything else any less vital to the system. Everything from the power supply to the case is technically "important"
But for the most part, those are the parts that affect performance and temps.

Your 3 choices are definitely the top 3 factors.

CPU Cooler isnt too much of a game changer. As long as you can keep temps away from the danger zone then it wont make a difference.

Case fans not so much. As long as you have some, pretty much any will perform well 'enough'

In rare cases the hard drive you have (SSD/HDD) can cause stuttering and long load times in games but that isn't very common.


You are pretty much spot on though, i was being pointlessly technical.

cpu and gpu are tied for #1. depending on the game, which is more important flip back and forth. so keeping them balanced will ensure you won't overkill either one to the detriment of the other.

in general cpu relates to fps more than the gpu. and the gpu relates to resolution and eye candy. balancing these 2 is essential so you get as minimal amount of one holding the other back as possible. one will ALWAYS hold the other back some, no way around it, but minimizing this is the idea when designing the system.
