Hi,

I am having a little bit of trouble deciding which HDD to buy. I have read both bad and good reviews of the HDD's that I am fighting between but cannot find a definitive answer on which one to get. I have no interest in buying an SSD. My system is 64bit with Windows 8.1. I have 8gb ram, i5 4670k, Radeon R9 270X OC 2GB. I also have a 2TB external HDD which I am prepared to keep plugged into the rig 24/7. My minimum amount of HDD space I require is 1TB. I wanted a HDD that is reliable and stable.
The HDD's are as follows, all prices are in AUD:
1) Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM $70
2) Western Digital WD Green 2TB $99
3) WD 1TB Black Series $99
4) Western Digital 1TB Red (WIth something called "NAS") $105
5) Western Digital 2TB Red (WIth something called "NAS") $128
6) Western Digital WD Green 3TB $134
7) Seagate Barracuda 3TB $139

Solution
get this hdd http://pcpartpicker.com/part/western-digital-internal-hard-drive-wd1003fzex or this one http://pcpartpicker.com/part/western-digital-internal-hard-drive-wd2002faex depends on if you want the extra space. The first link is a 1tb caviar black and the other one is a 2tb hdd. I would just go with the 1tb wd hdd but its up to you. DO NOT GET SEAGATE. In a recent survey, it showed that seagate hdd's had the most failure hdds and they costed the most or something like that to repair. The caviar black is reliable and is a blazing fast hdd.
