Which iMac for video editing?

Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy an iMac on eBay for video editing my YouTube videos. I'm debating between a late 2009 27" Core i5-750 model, or a mid 2012 21.5" Core i5-3470s model. I would be using this machine for 1080p video editing in iMovie and Adobe Premier and CAD work. For my workload which would I benefit more from? The bigger screen, or the newer components. Thanks.

Video Editing/Rendering with an i5 would be really slow, you'd need an i7 processor for it to run quickly and efficiently.

Typically for video editing, from what I've read, you want more cores/threads on the cpu, and that would equate to wanting an i7 processor. But between the 2 that you listed, I would go with the 3470s since it is a more recent, more powerful processor. But like I said, you should probably try to find something with an i7 if possible. I have built computers for my engineering department and they use a LOT of CAD type software and the general requirements for that are a fast processor (lots of mhz and typically i7) and a dedicated graphics card, the higher end the better.
