Hi I would like to build a PC that is under 1000 dollars and am having trouble deciding which CPU to use. to give a little background knowledge I plan t use this PC for hardcore gaming, live streaming, and premierpro/Photoshop. The CPU's I am torn between are the Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor or the Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor. Thank you.

Hi there! 😀

If you are not going to overclock your system. I suggest i5-4590
But if you are going to overclock, i5 4690K

Just a few advice:
You have a very good amount of budget for a Gaming PC. So get a CPU that is enough to work in pair with a graphics card that you are planning to buy. Based on your budget, of course you are going to get a high-end graphics card, so get a CPU that is enough to support that. About getting i7-4790k, yeah that's a "higher one" but you don't need that unless you are going to do video renderings and other stuffs that uses the CPU alot. i5 CPUs are enough. Now about thinking the fps, CPUs don't make much differences. It's the graphics card.

Hope this helps
Pentium G3258 is a bad choice for $1000 build.
According to this,http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-6.html , Intel Core i5 4590 is the best processor as performance per dollar ratio. So, I would suggest you to choose this CPU.
If you plan to overclock, then choose i5 4690K.
